The PA State Police were ahead of their time at New Holland enforcing
Federal Motor Carrier Laws. At the
2007 Horse World Expo the PA State
Police conducted a seminar on the requirements
for horse trailers including CDL requirements,
Medical Cards, Weight Limitations,
etc. Across the United States horse
owners have become aware of the state
and federal requirements that have
applied for several years, but for
some reason horse trailers escaped
inspection.
Members of PSP commented that the rigs that had problems also carried
horses that had welfare problems.
