Recently Closed U.S. Horse Slaughter Plants!Central Nebaska Packing Cavel, Int. (Note: Citizen groups in 2 towns turned away Cavel's attempt to relocate) Cavel's plant was destroyed by fire in 2002. Cavel blames it on "animal rights activists" The ATF is investigating the fire and until their report states that animal rights activists burned the plant, any statement by Cavel is suspect. Cavel's plant in Redmond, OR was also destroyed by fire. Arson for insurance is another possibility. Cavel is relocating to Canada. |
